Environmental Programs

The goal of our educational outreach efforts are to inspire a lasting love of nature in learners of all ages. We seek to translate this love into action as learners apply their knowledge towards the conservation of native plants and wildlife, the creative use of urban green spaces, and a commitment to activism on behalf of our ecosystem.

Urban Ecologist Program

At GROW we believe that the natural world makes a perfect living laboratory for students of all ages. We believe in hands-on experiential learning, student-led discovery, and the power of nature to spark curiosity, wonder, creativity, play, and community for all of our homeschooled Urban Ecologists.

Summer Camp

GROW Enrichment Camp is the perfect place for kids to get outdoors in the summer and experience a wide range of natural habitats! In fact, our camp is entirely outdoors! Your child will hike, explore nature, meet wildlife, and enjoy unstructured playtime all while learning basic principles of urban conservation.

*Summer Camp will not be in session for the 2023 season. We plan to bring this program forward for the public in the summer of 2024. Be on the lookout for updates!

School Groups

At our project site, in Two Rivers Park, we are building the city's first sustainable agroforestry public park space. Here, we're integrating lasting food systems into the landscape with the goal of creating abundance for both wildlife and people in our community. Our space is truly a "living laboratory" where students can identify problems and join us in finding solutions! We're all about trial and error, which is the scientific method for learning! GROW is a place to try out ideas, discover the fine balances of the ecosystem, and understand how our own human activities have direct effects on earth systems.
