We are teaming up with the TN Environmental Council for 250K Tree Day as both a distribution site AND a planting site! This means that not only can you come pick up your free trees at GROW, you can stay and plant any excess that you have right here at the park to help restore our forest! Talk about a WIN-WIN!!!
Getting your trees is easy! Simply hop on over to the Council's website and submit your tree request. Be sure to choose GROW Enrichment at Two Rivers Park as your distribution location! Then, join us on February 24th to pick up your free trees between 9am and 11am!
On distribution day, simply select the trees you want to keep for your own yard and donate the rest to GROW! Our wildlife will thank you!
Help us reach our goal to plant 1,000 trees on 250K Tree Day!!!
Join other volunteers from 11am - 2pm to get native trees planted at Two Rivers Park!
The urban forest at Two Rivers Park is in serious jeopardy and needs your help!!! GROW will be working aggressively over the winter to remove large sections of invasive non-native plants from the forest (which are slowly killing all the large trees!) On 250K Tree Day we're hosting a HUGE replanting effort to begin restoring this forest for future generations. We need your help to save this forest! Here's what you can do:
Step 1 - Order your bundle of trees from the council. Select the few you want for your residence and plan to plant the rest at GROW!
Step 2 - Volunteer to help plant trees at our site on 250K Tree Day by filling out the form below.
Step 3 - Plan to arrive at 10:30 to pick up your trees and plant the ones you would like to donate. *If you want to donate trees but are unable to help plant them, that's ok! We will have lots of volunteer groups on hand who will happily ensure that your gift makes it into the ground!
Bonus step: Form a tree planting team!!!! Rally friends and neighbors to come out to the park and help plant trees! Be sure to encourage each of them to register for free trees from the council and plan to donate their excess to our planting project! This is how we will get the 1,000 trees we hope to plant that day! Together we can make a huge impact for the long-term sustainability of our urban forest!
